Melina van der Werf is a tattoo artist and painter.

  

Her multicultural background reflects on her artistic style with Asian and European influences that shaped her visual world. Carving a creative path of universal motions and patterns through the aesthetic lens of someone who comes from everywhere but belongs nowhere.

Mythology, fiction and surrealistic fantasy worlds are her main ways of expression.  As an artist she is Influenced by the art of tattooing which allows no mistakes and requires a combination of artistic creativity and discipline in the process. All being attributes that she embraces in her artworks where she works with traditional media, because they allow a way to exercise a focused creativity that flourishes with experience.
