Melina van der Werf is a tattoo artist and self taught illustrator.

  

Her multicultural background reflects on her artistic style with Asian Art and European Impressionism being the main influences that shaped her visual world, carved a clear creative path and aesthetic taste.

Science fiction, the dystopian future and surrealistic fantasy worlds are her main ways of expression.  As an illustrator she is Influenced by the art of tattooing which allows no mistakes and requires a combination of artistic creativity and discipline in the process. All being attributes that she embraces in her artworks where she works with traditional media, because they allow a way to exercise a focused creativity that flourishes with experience.
